About Me

Shauna
Hi, I’m Shauna—and I’m so glad you’re here. I’ve been running my dayhome for over 16 years, and before that, I earned my Bachelor of Education and worked as a teacher. My passion for early childhood learning grew when I saw how much magic happens in those first few years of life—when children are naturally curious, creative, and constantly learning through play. At my dayhome, I provide a cozy, home-based setting where children can feel safe, supported, and inspired. While we may not have a large space or a backyard full of playground equipment, what we do have is intentional, rich, and child-centered. I focus on experiences that matter: loose parts play, messy sensory exploration, STEM challenges, outdoor discovery, and nature-based learning—all thoughtfully designed to nurture development.
